Expanding Digital Space
For Project 3 in my ART 397: Special Topics in Art and Design course, students are stepping outside the frame — and their comfort zones — to build immersive, site-specific AR experiences using Adobe Aero.
At first glance, the space may seem empty. A series of stark white pedestals arranged throughout the building hold… nothing. But each one hides a portal.
Scan the QR codes and watch the invisible become visible. Listen. Move. Interact. These aren’t empty displays — they’re launchpads for stories, sounds, and animated interventions born from their imagination. Beyond the gallery-like installation, students are scattering digital surprises across campus — QR codes tucked into unexpected corners, ready to be discovered. Each one unlocks a unique AR experience. It’s about exploration. Serendipity. Seeing the familiar in unfamiliar ways.
This is design unbound — off the page, out of the screen, and into space.
This project is launching soon...
