GenAI Discussion Tonight!

I like to think of AI as a collaborator—an extension of my creative process. But is that really the right way to frame it? Is AI just a tool, or is it something more? Are we using AI, or is it subtly shaping the way we create?

Bono from U2 has a lyric that feels especially relevant to this discussion: ‘Every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief.’ Creativity has always been about borrowing, remixing, and building on what came before. But with Generative AI, the lines between inspiration, imitation, and authorship are becoming blurrier than ever. That’s what I hope to explore tonight.
