Mo Gawdat is a seasoned technologist and author whose career spans multiple industries and continents. His journey began as a systems engineer at IBM Egypt, where he later transitioned into a sales role within the government sector. Seeking further growth and challenges, he moved to the United Arab Emirates, joining NCR Abu Dhabi to focus on the non-finance sector.

His pivotal career move came when he joined Microsoft, taking on a variety of roles over an impactful seven-and-a-half-year tenure. The year 2007 marked another milestone in Gawdat's career when he joined Google to spearhead its business development in emerging markets.

In 2013, he transitioned to Google's innovation division, Google X. As a leader in business strategy, planning, sales, business development, and partnerships, he contributed significantly to the company's innovative efforts.

In addition to his business achievements, Gawdat is a published author. His book "Solve for Happy: Engineering Your Path to Joy" (2017) is a touching tribute to his son, Ali, who tragically passed away in 2014. The book aims to provide practical methods for managing and preventing disappointment, drawing on his engineering background to create a robust and compelling approach to finding joy.
